We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our Whiteley office, where you will be instrumental in delivering ready-to-use hardware directly to our clients.

The Role As an IT Apprentice, you will be the engine room of our hardware deployment process. Your primary focus will be building, imaging, and configuring laptops and workstations before they are shipped out to our diverse client base.

This role is a hands-on entry into the IT industry, allowing you to build foundational technical skills while earning a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Unbox, assemble, and prepare laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for deployment.
• Deploy standardised operating systems and software applications using imaging tools (e.g., Windows Autopilot, SCCM, MDM, or USB imaging).
• Configure devices to match specific client requirements, ensuring all hardware passes quality control checks prior to dispatch.
• Perform basic hardware modifications, such as RAM or SSD upgrades, and run initial diagnostic tests.
• Log and track hardware serial numbers, client asset tags, and update internal inventory management systems accurately.
• Securely package and coordinate the shipping of hardware to client sites.
• Shadow the wider technical team and gradually assist with entry-level IT support tickets as your knowledge grows.

What We Are Looking For

• A genuine passion for technology, computer hardware, and IT systems.
• Familiarity with the basics of Windows operating systems and PC components.
• High attention to detail—ensuring devices are configured flawlessly is critical.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple hardware builds simultaneously.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English.
